Dynamic Modelling of Water and Wind Erosion in Australia over the Past Two Decades

Soil erosion caused by water and wind is a complicated natural process that has been accelerated human activity. It results in increasing areas of land degradation, which further threaten the productive potential landscapes. Consistent continuous monitoring will help identify location, magnitude, trends soil erosion. This information can then be used to evaluate impact management practices inform programs aim improve conditions. In this study, we applied Revised Universal Loss Equation (RUSLE) Wind Erosion (RWEQ) simulate dynamics. With emerging earth observation big data, estimated monthly annual (with resolution 90 m) (at 1 km) from 2001 2020. We evaluated performance three gridded precipitation products (SILO, GPM, TRMM) for rainfall erosivity estimation using ground-based rainfall. For model validation, were compared with existing verified observations. The datasets developed are particularly useful identifying finer-scale dynamics, where more sustainable should encouraged.
